Knowledge-Based Systems Group

The Knowledge-Based Systems Group (KBSG) is a research group headed by Prof. Gerhard Lakemeyer, Ph.D at the RWTH Aachen University and associated the Computer Science 5 for Information Systems & Databases.

The Knowledge-Based System Group is concerned with topics in knowledge representation, artificial intelligence, and cognitive robotics. The robotics project involves the participation in multiple leagues of the RoboCup robot tournament, especially in the RoboCup@Home league, the Middle Size League and Standard Platform League robotic soccer competitions. As part of the project, the Fawkes Robot Software Framework has been developed starting in 2006.
